I was born and raised in a small town in Pennsylvania and received both my bachelors and master’s degree from Clarion University in Clarion, Pennsylvania. I started my career in Pittsburgh, PA. and worked for two years in Orlando, FL before moving to Arizona 2.5 years age. My experience is primarily with self-contained children who are diagnosed with Autism. I have a passion for these children and feel blessed to have them in my life. I love having the opportunity to work with children in their homes and carry my love for helping children into additional settings.

Jennifer O., SLP

My name is Jennifer Ostreicher and I am a speech language pathologist. I am a native Phoenician who relocated to Seattle to attend the University of Washington, earning degrees in speech and hearing science and archaeology (with a minor in linguistics) in 2010. I then returned to Phoenix to attend ASU, earning my masters in Communication Disorders in 2012. Since then, I have worked with a variety of populations including early intervention, school aged kids, high school aged kids, and adults. Currently, I am loving all things related to social language and life skills. I am married and have four ‘children’ (2 feline, 2 canine). When I’m not working, you will most likely find me in a yoga class, cooking, writing restaurant reviews, or traveling the world!

Belinda S., SLP

My name is Belinda Shea and I have been a Speech Language Pathologist for over 20 years. I have worked in the public school setting as well as home health setting! I enjoy helping people of all ages become better communicators. I was born in Flagstaff, grew up in Tucson and attended both NAU and ASU. I love everything Arizona! In my spare time I enjoy being outdoors, spending time with my family and going to the lake.

Summer S., SLP

Hi, my name is Summer! I have been a Speech Language Pathologist for the past six years. Before that, I was an adjunct professor at a local University, taught parenting classes and was a La Leche League Leader as well as a Lactation Educator Councilor. My first degree was in Women’s Studies and I traveled abroad during my college years and transferred schools four times!

I have worked in an Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital and a School District for most of my career, however I recently retired from the Hospital in order to take more time for my family. Ironically, soon after that I started my own business and a podcast. I coach women around body image and empowerment as well as how to rewire beliefs. I absolutely love it!

My passion is around supervising, teaching and being challenged in our field. I love to do yoga, hike, spend time with my four children, travel and be outside! I have recently tried crossfit and I love it!

Elizabeth H, M.S., CCC-SLP

I have always loved all things related to language. Growing up, I was always reading or writing. My other childhood passions were science and education, so when I found the unique blend of language, teaching, and science that is Speech-Language Pathology, it seemed a perfect match! I received my Master of Science degree in Communication Disorders from Arizona State University in 2013. I have enjoyed working with children and families in the home, clinic, and school settings. I am so happy to be part of Wheels of the Bus' mission to strengthen and empower families. When I am not wearing my SLP hat, I enjoy reading, writing, baking, and spending time with my family.

Michael C., SLPA

My name is Michael Crowley. I come to Wheels on the Bus with 18 years of working as an SLP-A and twenty-five years of working with children and adults. The greatest and best difference in working in schools and working home health is in home health we work with the family on a weekly basis. As opposed to seeing the family once a year. I received speech therapy as a child and understand the individual's frustration. I also understand the parents or caregivers wanting their loved one a chance for success. I was in college for twenty years making it my first career. I graduated from Scottsdale Community College, Arizona State University and Utah State. Yes, I am a fighting Artichoke. In my spare time I enjoy sports and traveling. In Athletics I worked for The Oakland A's and Arizona State. I have been to 13 foreign countries and look forward to traveling to more.

Jeff P., SLPA

My name is Jeff Pollett. I grew up in Illinois, but have lived in Arizona since 1985. I was a medic in the Army Reserves in 1991 while simultaneously earning a Business Management degree from Arizona State University in 1997. I worked as a HR Recruiter for Trek Bicycle Corporation in Wisconsin and eventually came back to Arizona where I worked at Costco as a Supervisor/Manager for 15 years. My youngest child was diagnosed with Autism, and as a very proactive parent I dedicated myself to learning all I could with therapies, medicines, and many autism seminars. This created a new passion and eventually led me to my second round of education at ASU, in Speech Science. I am currently an SLPA and also have plans to go back for my Master's Degree. I'm proud of the work we do, and I feel the most rewarding part of this profession is when children truly understand the benefits of speech.

I received my AS from EMCC on December of 2019. I am a single mother of 2 boys who are my biggest supporters and motivators. My oldest is on the Autism spectrum, which has made me an advocate for autism awareness. Since the day my son was diagnosed with Autism and began his speech therapy sessions, I was in awe with how a speech therapist was able to help him talk. I fell in love with the field and told myself that one day I would become a speech therapist. Ten years have passed since that day, and I am excited to help others find their voice!
